Good metadata management can maximize the effectiveness and utility of media, facilitate discovery, guide preservation and access policies and priorities, and facilitate efficient interoperability and exchange of media assets.
AVPS designs metadata-orientated workflows and tools for audiovisual materials in order to streamline workflow and accuracy while increasing functionality. We can help you meet technical audiovisual standards (like PBCore, VMD, AES, and MIC), and we can perform or enable metadata translation, including the conformance of metadata to standards or trends, translation from one standard to another, crosswalks for controlled vocabularies, and metadata-orientated transcoding or media processing.
