David Rice consults on a wide range of preservation topics while focusing on open source applications, digital video codecs and formats, asset and metadata management, high efficiency reformatting, quality control, cataloging, collection management, and metadata technology for archival applications. David has worked as the Digital Media Archivist at Thirteen/WNET and was the first archivist for the daily news production Democracy Now. David is a graduate of the L. Jeffrey Selznick School of Film Preservation.
