		<description>I too see the tendency toward even higher-priced goods becoming disposable.  The one exception that jumps immediately to my mind is musical instruments.  My nice acoustic guitar, if treated properly, will (hopefully) last a very long time.  In the winter, it needs to be humidified to avoid cracking and buckling, here in dry, radiator-heated NYC.  It is certainly the only object I own that needs this level of care, and I am not used to this.  If anything my primary emotional response is anxiety - if I don&#039;t do it right, my investment will be destroyed.</description>
